Today I visited The Academy Chapel, in downtown Vancouver, WA, where one of my recent couples were wed. Since it's such a lovely place for a wedding, I wanted to share their prices and information which I will also be posting on my web site at: RoseJWoodruff.com I did take a video tour of the chapel which you can view below.
To begin with, the Academy Chapel is ran by Windsor Weddings located at the Academy at 400 East Evergreen Blvd, Ste 216, Vancouver, WA 98660. Map LINK. Vicki is their contact person and you can reach her at: (360) 696-4884. Their regular office hours are Tues: 10am-4pm, Wed: 12-5pm, Thurs: 12-5pm, and Friday: 10am-4pm. To tell you a little more about the Academy Chapel, to begin with, it is located in the historic Academy building in Vancouver, WA and features a breath-taking three-story high carved altar. The chapel features beautiful stained glass windows and has a lovely balcony at the rear of the chapel. The stately French-Carpenter-Gothic Providence Academy building was opened as a young ladies academy back in 1874. The chapel, itself, was finished and dedicated in 1883.
The altar is a perfect place for beautiful wedding photos and don't forget the curved staircase between the first and second story which can be reached from the south entrance where more beautiful photos can be taken in their outdoor garden area while using the academy building as a handsome background.
Your guests will appreciate the ample parking, handicapped access and small elevator. The Academy is easy to find and just one mile from the Interstate 5 bridge in Vancouver, WA. You can take the City Center Exit onto "C" Street which will lead you right to Evergreen Blvd.
This location is also good for vow renewals, Commitment ceremonies and small concerts. The chapel's main floor seating area seats up to 200 people.
There is ample free parking for your guests for your event along with the use of a dressing room for the bride and one also for the groom with the chapel rental. An additional one hour is available for a rehearsal and is included in the price.
Since we are in their 'Off Season' time, here are their rental prices for Nov. 1st through March 31st.
